Kingdom Centre
Kingdom Centre

The Kingdom Centre is a 41-floor, 302.3-meter tall skyscraper in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. It is currently the third-tallest skyscraper in the country after the Abraj Al Bait Towers and the Burj Rafal and is also the third-tallest skyscraper in the world which possesses a giant semi-oval opening under its point. This opening looks like a giant bottle opener and so it has been nicknamed accordingly. A 56-meter wide sky bridge connects the skyscraper's two uppermost points that form a huge inverted parabolic arc. Its interior is illuminated with continuously changing colours throughout the night.
Besides several shopping centers, the Kingdom Tower is also home to the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh and many apartments.
The entire building has been clad in butt-jointed glass façades that do not possess boundary lines at the bottom and so create an almost seamless surface. They have been made from blue reflecting glass panes. The exterior contour lines have been held in aluminum in order to emphasize the building's unique shape.
